The Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League hosted its Annual Awards Banquet on May 16, 2008. Our Credit Union walked away with the following prizes:
Credit Union of the Year Large sized category
Annually, the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League Limited assesses the forty seven Credit Unions and four are declared winners in their respective categories. This assessment is based on the PEARLS rating system and the Liquidity Reserve Requirements.
The acronym PEARLS:
P – Protection
E – Effective Financial Structure
A – Asset Quality
R – Rate of Return and Costs
L – Liquidity
S – Signs of Growth
Sectional Prize Highest Asset Growth
Runner-up Best Annual Report for 2007
1st place Family Indemnity Plan Sales 2007
Jump Start Competition 1st place – Highest production of Family Indemnity Plans for Credit Unions with membership of 2501-6000.
